We’re the Sanford Family and we’re hosting our annual food drive on November 5, 10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. With your help we can make a meaningful impact in the lives of people who are food insecure.
More than 10% of people in our state are food insecure. Being food insecure can take many forms. Some families may need to skip a few meals in the week in order to pay the energy bill. Some kids may not have a snack or lunch at school.
There are many short- and long-term impacts of food insecurity. But collectively, we can help individuals in our community and region who may be food insecure. Your contributions can make the difference for a working family have complete nutrition, or the snack a child needs at school to focus on learning. Every effort to address food insecurity is meaningful.
If you can give, we hope you’ll consider participating. Our goal this year is to raise over $2,000.
This year we’re partnering exclusively with HopeLink. Since 1971, HopeLink (HopeLink.org) has served homeless and low-income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities in King and Snohomish counties; providing stability and helping people gain the skills and knowledge they need to exit poverty for good. Monetary donations are tax deductible. Many large employers in our area will often match these types of donations.
